​​Mark Anderson, CPA / ABV / CFF
Mr. Anderson has over 18 years of experience proving accounting, finance and economic analysis. Prior to forming Aberdeen Advisory, Mr. Anderson worked at Norman, Townsend & Johnson, one of Utah's most respected forensic accounting firms. Mr. Anderson is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Utah, Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a Certified Fraud Examiner by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Mr. Anderson has testified as an expert witness in over 80 cases. Mr. Anderson has given expert testimony in federal, Utah State and Idaho State courts. Areas in which testimony was given include: valuation, forensic accounting, commercial litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, employer retaliation, divorce, and shareholder disputes.

In his free time, Mr. Anderson enjoys running, road biking, hiking and frustrating himself trying to grow guavas, avocados, dragon fruit, bananas and other tropical and subtropical fruits.
David Carpenter, CPA / ABV
​
David Carpenter is a Senior Consultant at Aberdeen Advisory, with particular focus on marital dissolution, business valuation and forensic analysis. Mr. Carpenter has over 19 years of experience in financial accounting, forensic analysis, and auditing. His work encompasses marital dissolution—including asset valuation, income analysis, and equitable distribution—as well as estate and gift tax planning, partnership disputes, and commercial litigation. Mr. Carpenter is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Utah and has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

In his free time, Mr. Carpenter enjoys, mountaineering, river rafting and spending time with his family in the great outdoors.


Jacob Carpenter
Jacob Carpenter is an Administrative Assistant at Aberdeen Advisory. He currently attends Utah State University under an academic scholarship and is double majoring in Political Science and German. Jacob is preparing to take the LSAT when he finishes his undergraduate degree and is planning on attending law school with a focus on copyright law.

In his spare time, Jacob enjoys spending time attached to a rope, whether mountaineering, rock climbing or caving.
